Summary
The Agroecology Evaluation Guide offers a methodological approach and tools to assess the effects of agroecological practices and systems on the agri-environmental and socio-economic results of agriculture, as well as the conditions for the development of agroecology. It aims to help actors in development to better design their projects, programs and public policies in favor of agroecology, to facilitate the creation of references (results and conditions of development) and to support farmers in evaluating more precisely the results of their practices, thus helping them make decisions.
The guide is divided into three parts. The first part presents the general approach of one-time assessment and follow-up-evaluation. The second part consists of assessment sheets about either the different elements on which agroecology is likely to have an impact in the agro-environmental and socio-economic fields, or else about the conditions of its development. The third part offers methodological additions in the form of tool worksheets.
This book is the result of a collaboration between the teams of the GTAE (Agrisud International, AVSF, Cari and Gret), AgroParisTech, Cirad, IRD and the Institut Agro Montpellier.
