In these days of globalisation, mobility and spreading out information, there is increasingly frequent contact between different types of geographical space. This happens via interfaces, a new geographical object with the principal role of ensuring exchange and adjustment between distinctive and adjoining systems thus put in contact with each other. These interfaces are, at the forefront, the seat of crises, tensions and even ruptures between elements. Knowing more about how they operate is essential to adapt to events, to anticipate rather than suffer them.
