If you wish to publish a work in one of our series, the first thing to do is to fill in a request for publication and send it to us by e-mail or by post.
Examination of requests
Your project is forwarded to the members of the Quae editorial committee. A publisher will contact you if more information is needed and will present your project to the editorial committee.
Each manuscript also undergoes a peer review process. Read more
Acceptance of the request
You will receive a decision on your request within a month of the next editorial committee meeting. If the decision is favourable, an editor will meet with you and give you certain instructions and recommendations (style and form to be adapted to the target readership, maximum/minimum number of pages, number and type of illustrations possible depending on the collection, etc).
Before beginning to draft your manuscript, you are strongly encouraged to read the advice and recommendations given in the Notes to authors. You may also consult the template with style sheets, which should be of help. Acceptance will not be final until the manuscript has been given scientific approval.
The publisher's production team will work closely with the author in producing the work. Information on the files and documents to be supplied to the publisher is given in the Note to authors. For more details, please contact email@example.com.
All these books are freely and permanently available online to anyone, increasing visibility and discoverability for authors’ work. To maintain high publication quality, Quae charges a book publication fee. This fee varies depending on the number of signs and figures of the manuscript, and diffusion format (pdf and/or ePub). Do not hesitate to contact us for a quotation.
Permission to reproduce
Authors should provide the publisher with an original text and illustrations. If any part of the manuscript is drawn from a work already published, permission to reproduce the element in question must be obtained from the publisher of that work, and the source of the element must be quoted in full (see the Note to authors).
Request forms for permission to reproduce, for submission to the publishers concerned, are available in French and English.
