Pierre Jean Silvie

Pierre Jean Silvie has a PhD in entomology. He has spent his entire career at Cirad. From 1984 to 2009, he worked on the integrated management of cotton pests in Chad, Togo, Benin, Paraguay and Brazil. As a member of an Anses expert committee, he analyzed the phytosanitary risks associated with certain invasive exotic arthropods. His latest work focused on the management of knowledge linked to the use of plant extracts.
