The topics and areas discussed in this document are hydrology, torrential hydraulics, the study of erosion phenomena, natural or artificially-introduced vegetation and corresponding pedological developments. The aim of the seminar, organised in Digne, France, in October 1997, was to provide an overview of more than ten years of work carried out with the support of these watersheds, to encourage exchanges and to compare results with similar work done at other sites or in similar contexts and, finally, to identify potential scientific partnerships for which the experimental watersheds of Draix would be of definite interest as a field laboratory.
