He worked in agricultural research and development programmes in Nepal, Cameroon, and Vietnam. He was Head, environment and sustainable development, for GRET, a French NGO involved in international development work, and was later appointed as Director, Innovation Department, in the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forest. During that period he was mandated as French representative in SCAR. He is presently Director of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute, Montpellier, one of the four institutes of the International Centre for Higher Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM). 2 B15 01 A165 Uno Svedin Svedin, Uno Uno Svedin Uno Svedin , born 1943, PhD, is Senior Researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Center (SRC) at Stockholm University and former Professor at the same University. He is Doctor honoris causa at the Linköping University were he was adjunct Professor 1994-2004. He has been Director of Research at the Swedish Council for Planning and Coordination of Research (FRN) until 2000 and after that Director of International Affairs at the Swedish Research Council Formas until retirement 2010. He is member of the EURAGRI Board and was member of the initiating PREFARN Group in the EU preparing for the re-establishment of the EU-SCAR and member and later chair of its coordinating Working Group. He has been the chair of the EU Consultative Forum for Sustainability and the Environment. 3 B15 01 A178 Egizio Valceschini Valceschini, Egizio Egizio Valceschini Egizio Valceschini est directeur de recherches à l’Inra, il préside le Comité d’histoire de l’Inra et du Cirad. Chercheur en économie, il a par ailleurs été impliqué dans la programmation européenne de la recherche. Il se consacre aujourd’hui à l’histoire de la recherche agronomique. Egizio Valceschini, directeur de recherche à l’Inra, est président du Comité d’histoire de l’Inra et du Cirad depuis 2011. Recruté en 1986, il est économiste de formation universitaire, spécialiste de l’économie de la qualité et des politiques publiques dans le secteur agroalimentaire.
